Tupac Amaru Shakur

1971 - 1996

Tupac Shakur is one of the world's most known rappers. Not only known for his art, but for his amazing acting skills and being just the biggest hihop icon in the world. Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, was a member of the Black Panter's in New York, where Tupac was born. Tupac was in a theater group as a child. He played Travis in A Raisin In the Sun.

Tupac joined Digital Underground in 1990 as a roadie/dancer/rapper. Tupac made his recording debut on Digital Underground's This is an EP. The great song on the CD is "Same Song." Before he made his first record. He became noticed for his amazing acting abilities in Ernest Dickerson's Juice. This is the best movie he has done in his life. The plot to this crazy ass movie is good enought to make u hold a pee during the whole movie. The best part in the movie is when Tupac goes to the victim of his crazed actions funeral. What the f^%k is that? Tupac started to think of his career as a rapper, so there was a club where he rapped like once a week. One of the woman there hooked em up with a record contract for Interscope. His first cd 2pacalypse Now makes its debut a few weeks after the realease of Juice. It was certified gold, and a first CD to go gold is pretty good. His second CD, Strictly For My N.I.G.G.A.Z Was a much better CD than the first one. Contains the dedicated song "Keep Ya Head Up." Also contains some greats songs such as "I Get Around", "Holla If Ya Hear Me", and many more. Strictly For My N.I.G.G.A.Z went platnium, looks like he was gaining his reputation.

Before his release of his third album, Thuglife came out with a roar. People thought this CD was a more violent content than the previous tupac CD's. I see no difference, besides the other people singing with pac. This CD was pretty bad(the good way) for a 10 track CD. My favorite song on here is "Str8 Ballin", cuz on this song he shares the definition of Ballin to the white folks. Plus this song is awsome. "Bury Me a G" is also good song. You may have heard "Tryin to do something" By Master P, which pretty much copied off of this song. And in the cover, he doesnt give him credit. He did the same thing on Mp-Da Last Don. This guy is kind of pissing me off, but thats besides the point. This CD is great, like all of 2pac's CD.

Tupac had to change his whole style for his 3rd CD, Me Against The World. He said that Biggie was copying off of him, and BIGs CD was all about death. Tupac's was gonna be on the same matter, but he felt he had to change it. This is a another great CD by him. With songs such as "Me Against The World", "So Many Tears, "Temptations" and more. This has the most memoribal song, "Dear Momma. Tupac was probably the first one to write a song about their mom. The song is great, and so are the lyrics. Tupac was the first musician to have the #1 record while spending time in jail. Isnt he just amazing? He also went up to double platnium.

All eyes were on him when he came out of jail. Actually he didnt come out of jail, Sug bailed him out for like 1.4 million. Suge must've admired him to pay that much for someone you dont really know. Anyways, when he got out on bail, to pay back for Suge's 1.4 mill, he signed a 3 year contract with Death Row. His first CD on DeathRow, All Eyez On Me, was probably his best CD he has everydone. There is not one bad song on the CD, and its a wide variety of songs. There are the kind you can dance too, the kind you feel like you wanna strap gats too, and types you just wanna go bump while cruisin. I dont really have a favorite song on here, but all I got to say is there all kicking, and Tupac is the greatest thing to ever happen to rap. This was of course number #1 and went to a whoopin 7X Platnium! HOLY MOOKEY STINKS!

September 7th 1996, the worst day for hip hop. After the Tyson vs. Seldon fight (Tyson whooped him), Tupac got in a gang fight in the hall. You may have seen it on the news many times. They arent sure who this guy was, but most think it was Orlando Anderson. After the fight, Tupac changed into a dark green basketball jersey instead of his long silk shirt. As Suge and pac were driving along, a white cadillac is in the sight. Ten to fifteen shots bust out. Tupac was shot two times in the chest, one in the hand, and one in the head. A graze of a bullet hit Suge in the head. Then a stupid cop came over and told Suge to get on the ground. What the dilley? There was someone bleeding like a concentration camp, are they blind or something? Morons. Later, Suge finally gets 2pac to the hospital. And 2pac is in their for treatment.

September 13th, Tupac dies. At aproxminately 4:03 P.M, due to respitory failure. Now when I heard this, first of all, I wanted to find the killer and throw him in a ditch on on his head. Then I wanted to be at the place where Afeni Shakur (his mom) talked about him. I was so mad that he died, all I listened to was his music. I was pretty much at 10 on my anger meeter. Not only did i Admire his Music, but I admired his acting and poetry. RIP Tupac Shakur. Keep his music alive.

Soon after he died, there was of course Albums coming out. Tupac left over 200 songs that were never released, so we can have his his stuff bumpin for life. He came out with a album under his alias, Makaveli.Don Killuminati-The 7 Day Theory was stated by the VIBE, "Tupac's best work ever." All of his work is the best ever, they forgot to mention that. This CD contains one of my favorite songs, Bomb First. This song has Tupac rappin in his best mood. When he is mad! You can hear his attitude through his lyics and screaming. Also has the Outlawz on many of his songs.

Then came R U Still Down. This song contained songs he made in 93-94 i think. I like his more recent songs better, but his CD was good. Contains the song, I Wonder If Heavens Got a Ghetto, orignally heard on a single. I dont remember, i think it may have been on a Keep Ya Head single. My favorite song on here is Do For Love. This song is cool, even though you dont hear much love songs by Tupac, this is still a smooth song.

Well, most of Tupac's songs you hear today our found on the many bootlegs being released. My brother has one, but I am looking for more. Plus the one he got was expensive, 25 bucks for 1 CD. Anyways, I live like half an hour from Detroit. If anyone knows where u can find em there, contact me. The unrealeased songs may be heard on my songs page. You real need Real Player, so get it by going to there site. Gea Jigga.

Get ya groove on!

Here is pac when he was shot in NY, by those morons with the setup at the recording studio. They took his $30,000 ring, along with about $10,000 in gold chains. He was shot five times, one in the balls, and one in the head. Tupac said he wanted to be known for "Living through 5 SHOTS!" Yeah he is pretty much known for that, along with every other achivement in his live.
Dont forget to check my Articles Section to read his interviews, and how the shootin occured from his own words.
